On April 21, 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China released the "Light Industry Standard of the People's Republic of China - Soft Furniture Spring Soft Mattresses", which will be implemented on November 1, 2023. The document is proposed by the China Light Industry Federation and is under the jurisdiction of the National Furniture Standardization Technical Committee; Shanghai Quality Supervision and Inspection Technology Research Institute, Zhejiang Light Industrial Product Quality Inspection Research Institute, Guangdong Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Research Institute, China Furniture Association, and dozens of well-known domestic home manufacturing and sales companies jointly drafted the standard. Zhucheng Xinhua Yu Furniture Co., Ltd., as a professional mattress manufacturer in China, participated in the drafting of this standard.

The new standard QB/T 1952.2-2023 replaces the original QB/T 1952.2-2011 standard, and strives for more precision in the production technology requirements of domestic spring soft mattresses.
